Don Oscar and Doña Francisca began producing honey coffees in 2008 after an earthquake cut off the mill's access to water for several weeks. Using techniques used in Brazil and Ethiopia, their farm became one of the first in Costa Rica to use natural processing methods. For their yellow honey, 100% of the mucilage is left on the coffee and dried slowly on raised beds, being turned every hour.

Tasting Notes
Wine acidity and syrupy sweetness with taste notes of poached nectarine, brown sugar and cherries.

Wide Open Road
Hootan Heyderi and Jono Hill are breathing life into yet another residential Brunswick street with their latest project Wide Open Road, which follows A Minor Place. Wide Open Road was initially created to pick up where A Minor Place left off: roasting beans. The back of the shop has a window that lets visitors watch Heyderi work his roasting magic. Wide Open Road offers pour over coffee as well as regular espresso using their own Bathysphere blend, which consists of Kenyan, Brazilian, Costa Rican and Ethiopian beans.
